“We bought our first home with Community First Mortgage. I did a lot of research , mortgage shopping and due diligence and finally settled on Community First. Their rates and service were so good! I worked with another Mortgage lender initially recommended by my realtor, and he couldn’t match Community first rates and I was also told that there must be something wrong for them to offer it so low! (Of course, there was nothing wrong!)
I worked with JB and she has been AWESOME throughout the whole process. We are first time home buyers and she was the best part about the whole process. We had so many other small problems with everyone else we worked on the deal from Realtors to Escrow, but JB was just great in hand holding us throughout the way, coordinating with everyone involved and also delivered as promised within the time frame we wanted to close. She was also very detailed and meticulous in explaining the fee structure, and everything we will need to spend from down payment to monthly mortgage. This is great, because I hate unexpected last minute costs.
After we closed, the Escrow company we worked with messed up with some numbers and owed us money. JB relentlessly worked on pushing them to send the money back to us even though she didn’t have to. I wouldn’t hesitate for a bit before recommending Community First and JB to anyone else. Their rates and Customer Service is excellent. Also, they always answer phone calls and respond to emails. ALWAYS. If you are first time home buyer or even otherwise, just call JB at Community First!”

“I was a little (a lot) apprehensive about getting a mortgage but Community First made this process as painless as possible. In fact, the loan and the house process is a fraction of the headache I’m under now trying to find a general contractor. I wish finding a general contractor was as easy and pain-free as getting a mortgage with Mike and JB!
Mike locked in a fantastic rate for me and advised me to go with a lender that could close my loan in 3 weeks. As promised, they closed my loan in 3 weeks. Mike wasn’t pushy at all and gave me information to make my own decision. In fact, after my accountant took a look at my loan estimate, he called me and asked why I didn’t listen to Mike’s advice! (I ended up listening to Mike’s advice.)
The “crazy paperwork” that everyone talked about took me about 1 hour to gather, and JB took it from there. She kept me informed daily about how the loan was moving through, giving me a heads up on any obstacles ahead. I felt like I was sailing through escrow thanks to her!

“I never write reviews, but sometimes something just needs to be said.
I was in escrow and about to sign loan docs and did a quick online search just to check bank rates. It led me to Community First Mortgage website. I had come across their site previously and had noted the good reviews but when it came time to actually get preapproved I started working with a loan guy referred by my real estate agent. Just to be sure I was getting the best rate I filled out the info on the Community First site for the fast rate quote. I actually mistyped the down payment info and within minutes I received a call from Neil at Community First letting me know it looked like I might of made an error and that he could probably offer even better rates then what was quoted. I explained that I was very close to signing docs but based on the numbers he was quoting I had to see what he could do. Neil had several options for me to consider (something the other lender didn’t). Even though Neil was at a disadvantage compared with the other lender because he was starting the process way later, he was confident that he could get me approved and the loan closed ahead of the other lender. What can I say, Neil was not just making hopeful promises, he got it done. I even showed Community Firsts loan estimate to the other loan agent (his suggestion) before signing papers with Community First and he was impressed. He told me it looked legit and that if Neil’s rate was real then I needed to go with it. Well, I worked with Neil and Kayla and I’ve got to say they are the real deal. From start to finish, friendly, professional, responsive. Neil is consistently accessible and answers his phone. My Realtor was so impressed with Neil’s performance she is now recommending him to her clients.
Bottom line, a mortgage is a major purchase and it’s important to know you are getting the best rate possible. You absolutely should shop for a mortgage and not just go with the first loan offered. I highly Recommend Community First Mortgage and look forward to working with them again in the future.
